John Latshaw

Memorial services for John William Latshaw, 73, of Stonewall, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Stonewall Free Will Baptist Church; Rev. Dennis Heath will officiate.

Mr. Latshaw passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Ada. He was born October 7, 1952, in Guymon, to Burton Jay “Red” and Flora Ida Chavez Latshaw.

On April 24, 1972, he married Patricia Pearl Bishop. Mr. Latshaw served in the United States Navy on the USS Columbus guided missile cruiser and then worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement.

Mr. Latshaw was an avid fisherman and hunter. His greatest loves of life were his children, grandbabes, and his garden.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of the home; two sons, Scott Latshaw, of Stonewall, and Zane Hart, of Durant; daughter, Chrystal Fredrick, of Wellston; sisters, Patricia Hatcher, of Lofland, NV, and Lucy White, of Larned, KS; grandchildren, Ashley Tucker Guy and Adam, of TN, Samuel Cooper, of Tishomingo, Jonathan Latshaw, of the home, Bailey Latshaw, of Aurora, CO, Porter Fredrick, of Harrah, Ava Sellstrom and Ethan, of Ocean View, VA, Ian Fredrick, of Harrah, Ethan Alexander Hart, Jeremy McGruder and Shalynn Martin, of Tish, Charlie Rose Latshaw, of Tishomingo, Briar Latshaw, of Tishomingo, and Van D’artangion; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim Alford, Floyd “Butch” Latshaw, and Monte Latshaw; and sisters, Leona Bradford and Linda Green.
