John Woodlief Sweatt, Jr., 91, of Ada passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Ballard's Nursing Home in Ada.  He was born April 27, 1930 in Ada to John Woodlief Sweatt, Sr. and Mary Ellen VanMeter Sweat.

Mr. Sweatt married Martha Bullard, July 3, 1048.

He graduated from Ada High School & attended East Central University. He worked as a dry cleaner and tailor.

He is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home; son, John Woodlief Sweatt III and wife Cindy; daughter, Kelsey Vandeveer and husband Lan; four grandchildren, Kaycie Young and husband Tanner, Kaylie Coleman and husband, Bradley, Matthew Sweatt and wife Ellen, Ashley Kilgore and husband Jonathan; and four greatgrandchildren, Margot and Millie Sweatt and Edyn and Willow Young.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Nell Vermillion.
