It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to John Earl Hunter, 74, who lost his valiant battle with cancer. Born in Midland, Texas, John was a Vietnam War Veteran who served with distinction in the US Army 101st Airborne.

John resided in Bakersfield, California, for over 50 years as the respected owner of KV Phone Mart. He recently settled in Ada, Oklahoma, to enjoy his retirement years in tranquility on the front porch alongside Linda, his beloved wife of 54 years.

John was a dedicated family man, leaving behind his daughters, Christine Hunter and Victoria Jensen, his son John Paul Hunter, grandson Joshua Cantu with wife Katrina, and his great granddaughters, Claire and Catelyn Cantu.

His passions included NASCAR, gambling, fishing, and racing stock cars. John's life was marked by his spirited and joyful nature.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date with details to follow.

John will be dearly missed by his loved ones and eternally remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  May he rest in peace, knowing his legacy endures.
