John James Fleet II, passed away on August 2, 2021 at the age of 81, in Plano, Texas. He showed great courage and faced his final days in the loving company of his family.

John was born in Houston, Texas, raised in Dallas, lived in Ada, Oklahoma, and also Plano, Texas.

He spent life in the family's oil and gas business, starting out working for his father's company Fleet Drilling Co. in Ada.  He would get up early in the morning to make radio calls to the field getting updated information on oil wells being drilled. Later in life he worked with the investment banking firm, Snyder, Barnett, and Hickman.  After his father's passing, he ran the family oil and gas business.

He was proud of the family business and his Creek and Seminole Native American heritage. He was a Ham radio operator and enjoyed traveling, boating, and a myriad of other activities and hobbies.

John married Geraldine Chastain and together they had three children: John (Jack), Dina, and Joe. In 1978 he married Ann Cooper, who has been his constant companion ever since. She has faithfully stayed by his side, loved and supported him through their years together. They had two children: Virginia and J.J.

John is survived by his wife Virginia Ann Fleet, son Jack Fleet, his daughter Virginia Rady, her husband Nic and his granddaughter, Catherine. He is also survived by his other children, Joe, Dina, and J.J., and his four cavaliers, Lucky, Punky, Abby, & Pip.

John is preceded in death by, his father John Fleet, his mother, Jaunice Jones.

John will be honored in a celebration of life on August 7, 2021. Services to be held noon at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, Oklahoma with graveside procession afterwards.
