JOHN DAVIS
GARLAND, TEXAS- Services for John Marion Davis, 71, Garland, Texas, formerly of the Roff area, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Theresa Ray will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Davis died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at his home. He was born September 19, 1940 in Roff, Oklahoma to Homer Lee Davis, Sr. and Essie Jane Collum Davis. He attended Roff grade school and graduated from Vanoss High School.
He married Gera Lana (Loni) Jaquess on January 11, 1971 in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Davis was a roofer for Helsey Roofing in Plano, Texas and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Loni Davis, of the home; two sons, John Davis, Jr. and his wife Leah, Clayton, OK, and Steve Rowe and his wife Crystal of Mesquite, TX; two daughters, Tammy Gilbert and her husband Greg of Colcord, OK, and Lisa Garland and her husband Rick of Wylie, TX; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; four sisters, Rita Webb and husband Dale, Ruidoso, NM, Jeanie Magar and husband Ronnie, Ada, Vicky Cheek and husband Larry, Ardmore, and Sheila Davis, Ada; one brother Lee Davis and wife Jayne, Galveston, TX; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Wanda Houck, Janie Garrett, and Linda Wheeler, and a brother, Billy Ray Davis.
Bearers will be John Davis, Jr., Jimmy Lee Davis, Steve Rowe, Rick Garland, Shane Garland, and Kenny Roberts.
