Joel Moody

No services are planned at this time for Joel E. Moody, 83, of Ada.

Mr. Moody passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his home. He was born May 20, 1939 at Lexington, Oklahoma to Ermon Dall and Lucille Thelma Davey Moody.

He married Karen Mitchell May 21, 1964 at Lake Tahoe, California. Mr. Moody was a farmer.

Joe was loved and respected by many. He ran Moody's Vegetable Stand on Latta Road for several years and had many wonderful and faithful customers.

Survivors include his wife, Karen, of the home; two sons, Milton Moody of North Carolina and William Moody of Stockton, CA; two daughters, Dorothy Smith of Ada and Cindy DeMoss and husband Jay of Ada; a son-in-law, Donald Smith of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Ermaline Schultz of Idaho, Bonnie Hayes of California and Carmalita Thomas of Washington; a brother, Jerry Moody of California; six grandchildren, Joy Hensley and husband Matthew, Sheana Smith, Rhiannan DeMoss, Zeke DeMoss, Daniel DeMoss and Jenny Hill; and six great-grandchildren, Baylei Smith, Charlotte Hensley, Jesse DeMoss, Cailey Hill, Carson Hill and Nathan Hall.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, J. W. Moody and Harvey Moody; and two sisters, Martha Moody and Thelma Moody.
