JOEL ANDREWS
ADA-Services for Joel Wilson Andrews, 86, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Joe Dixon will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Andrews died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at a local hospital. He was born September 27, 1924 in Walters, Oklahoma to Aquilla A. and Eula Duncan Andrews. He attended Ada schools.
He married Golda L. Hicks on April 22, 1944. She preceded him in death on October 19, 2008. Mr. Andrews was a tire and applicance salesman for Montgomery Wards until his retirement. Previously he was an owner and operator of an independent gas station in Ada. After his retirement, he was a driver for Chaprell Dodge in Ada. Mr. Andrews was a member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Joel D. Andrews and wife Marilyn of Roff; three grandchildren, Shane Andrews and wife Jennifer, Buddy Andrews and wife LaDana, and Robin McCullar and husband Jerel, all of Roff; and four great grandchildren, Brinlee Andrews, Bryton Andrews, Jagger Andrews and Maddux McCullar.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bonnie Andrews and Andy Andrews; and a sister, Marie Christian.
