Joe Thomas

Services for Danny Joe Thomas, 57, of Pontotoc, are 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022 at the Temple of God Church in Connerville, Randy Wade and Tony Walker will officiate.  Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery. A Wake service will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Criswell Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Mr. Thomas died Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at a local hospital.  He was born December 2, 1964 in Ada to Johnnie and Floy "Nikki" Barrett Thomas.

He was employed for over 26 years with the Chickasaw Nation Housing Department as a Foreman. He loved softball and pool, attending music concerts and was an avid New York Yankees and Minnesota Vikings fan.

Survivors include his partner, Tamiko Poe, of the home; three sons, James Poe, Jimmy Joe Thomas and Isaac Thomas; one daughter, Tamera Factor; his father, Johnnie Thomas; a sister, Sue Tisdell; 11 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nikki Thomas; and two brothers, Tom Thomas and Jim Thomas.

Bearers will be Kevin Gore, Tim Poe, Scotty Hulsey, Jefferey Hulsey, Watson Wagon and Joey Seeley. Honorary bearers will be Gary Walker, Jr., Malcolm Smith, Rob Johns, David Fort, Mill Creek Connerville Softball Team and Kullihoma Indians Softball Team.
