Joe Sipes

Joe Wayne Sipes, 79, of Ada, Oklahoma, passed away on February 6, 2025 at his home. Services are at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery.

Born November 7, 1945, in Atoka, Oklahoma, Joe was the son of Buenos A. and Virginia Catherine O'Quinn Sipes. He was a man of many talents and passions, working as a rancher, horse trainer, and police officer in Tishomingo. Joe's devotion to his work and his community reflected his generous and hardworking spirit.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy, of the home; his children, Jodi Ufimtsev and husband Vlad of Ada, Jennifer Marsh and husband Jordan of Konawa, Khristi Hamilton and husband John of Atoka, Tonya White and husband Elton of Salina, Texas, and Jimmy Alexander of Atoka. Joe is also survived by his brother, Roger Sipes of Atoka; his sister, Regina McDonald and husband Don of Norman; and his grandchildren, Lucchese Marsh, Austyn Marsh, and numerous other grandchildren. He also leaves behind his step-children, Dr. Michael White of Temple, Texas, and Tammy O'Dell of Asher, as well as other extended family and many friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Shirley Sipes, and his brothers Jerry Sipes and Bud Sipes.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
