JOE HISLE
ADA-Services for Joe Jackson Hisle, 87, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Ada Church of Christ, Carl Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Hisle died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at his home. He was born August 18, 1922 at Allen, Oklahoma to Roland Earl and Hallie Margaret Butler Hisle. He attended Ada schools and graduated from Ada High School. He attended East Central College for three years.
He married Thayliah Lucas January 6, 1947. They were married for 62 years. Mr. Hisle was the owner and operator of Hisle Brothers Equipment Co. for over 30 years. Mr. Hisle was a longtime member of the Ada Church of Christ and had served in the U. S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.
Survivors include his wife, Thayliah Hisle, of the home; a son, Jack Hisle and wife Judy, Ada; a daughter, JoAnn Hisle, Ada; three grandchildren, Ann Margaret Hisle Helms and husband Marcus, Ada, Lorna Hisle Mullins and husband Kevin, Oklahoma City, and Natalie Hisle, New Jersey; a great granddaughter, Madison Ann Helms, Ada.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jewel Ray, and two brothers, Walker Hisle and Roland Earl Hisle, Jr.
Bearers will be Bill Hisle, Joe Hisle, Roland Earl Hisle III, Marcus Helms, Kevin Mullins, Roger Burns, and Roger Cosby.
