Joe Barnes

Services for Joe Dewane Barnes, 75, of Ada will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Kenny Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Joe passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in Ada. He was born on May 10, 1949, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to William Newell and Zoe Constance Hymer Barnes.

Joe was always willing to share his thoughts and offer his perspective. A proud member of the Boy Scouts, Joe developed a lifelong love for the outdoors and community. He had a deep passion for westerns, enjoyed watching wrestling, and was a devoted fan of the University of Oklahoma.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Ramona Barnes of Ada; his brother, Bob Barnes of Salt Lake City, UT; his sisters, Susan Langraf of Texas, Cheryl Sosbee of South Carolina, Virginia Gatlin of Texas, and Karolyn Nunnery of Texas; sister-in-law, Remona McQueen; as well as many nieces and nephews who cherished him dearly.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, William and Zoe Barnes, along with six brothers and two sisters.

Joe will be remembered for his kind heart.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
