Joan Margrete Simondi

Private services for Joan Simondi 80, of Ada will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, in Ada, OK: with graveside services, the following day, at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, at Elmwood Cemetery, In Woodward, OK. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Simondi died early Saturday morning, March 6, 2021, at home. She was born March 26, 1940, in Trenton, Nebraska, to Helen Marie (Swartz) Marquardt and Leon Earnest Marquardt. Joan was a housewife, realtor, seamstress, motel clerk and housekeeper. She made clothing for several famous country music performers, while working at Tregos, in Woodward, OK. She loved country music, the Texas gulf coast and Las Vegas, but mostly her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Frederick Lee Simondi of Ada, OK; children, Charlotte Ann Brown of Latta, OK; Jack Nelson Woodard (Michele) of Woodward, OK; Jason Douglas Woodard (Belinda) of Woodward, OK; Eric Todd Brown (Kendra), of Burdett, KS; step-son, Domenic James Simondi of Roundup, MT; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and furry friend, April.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Helen Marquardt; brother, Donnie Marquardt; sister, Dolly Houston; son, Vernon Eugene Woodard, Jr. and step-son, Frederick Joseph Simondi.
