ADA-Graveside services for Joan Juanita Murray, 78, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Bud Ross will officiate.
Mrs. Murray died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at a local nursing home. She was born November 7, 1936 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Ernest Marion Worthen, Sr. and Bessie Mae Clinton Worthen. She attended grade school in St. Joseph, MO and graduated from high school in Long Beach, CA.
She married Jerry I. Murray in 1956 at Reno, Nevada. She and her husband moved to this area June, 1956 from Long Beach, CA. She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry, of the home; a son, Billy Murray of Ada; a daughter, Patsy Murray of Ada; grandson, Eric Murray of Ada; four sisters, Marion Quintal, Anaheim, CA, Helen Hardin and Judy Forsberg, both of Branson, MO, and Mary Sanders, Anaheim, CA; and a brother, Ernie Worthen, Jr. of St. Joseph, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kay Cunningham.
