ADA-Graveside services for Jo Northcutt, 106, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rosedale Cemetery, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate.
Mrs. Northcutt died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at a local nursing home. She was born April 5, 1906 at Bonham, Texas to Benjamin Alexander and Sarah Ella McSpadden McCown. She attended school at Denison, TX.
She married Harvey Landers in Durant. He preceded her in death in 1937. She later married Hobert Northcutt in 1942. He preceded her in death in 1964. Mrs. Northcutt was a homemaker and a longtime member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Benny Northcutt and his wife Phillis of Ada; a daughter, Betty Balthrop-Ross of Ada; a daughter-in-law, Linda Martinez of Yukon; four grandchildren, Chris Balthrop and wife Stacy, Ada, Greg Balthrop and wife Shannon, Rockwall, TX, Charles Balthrop and wife Rhonda of Yukon, and Michael Northcutt and wife Kristie of Mustang; eight great grandchildren, Courtney Hardpence and husband Jason, Yukon, Kyle Balthrop, Yukon, Robbie Balthrop, Ada and Kayla Balthrop, Allen, Spencer Northcutt, Mustang, Lauran Hawkins and husband Chandler, Coco Beach, FL, Clay Balthrop, Ada, and Caden Balthrop, Ada; and three great great grandchildren, Jaggar Richard Hardpence and Rykor Judson Hardpence, both of Yukon, and Kenndi Hawkins, Coco Beach, FL; former son-in-law, Bob Ross, Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Hobert Northcutt, Jr. and Haskell Northcutt; a son-in-law, Craig Balthrop; five brothers, Velvin McCown, Clyde McCown, Bryant McCown, Ben McCown, and Samps McCown; two sisters, Susie Mason and Kittie McCurdy; and a grandson, Craig Balthrop, Jr.
