Jo Ann Layne

A visitation for Jo Ann Hisle Layne, 72, of Ada will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Criswell Funeral Home.  A family burial will be held on Thursday.

Ms. Layne passed away Monday, September 2, 2024 at her home.  She was born April 1, 1952 in Ada to Joe and Thayliah Lucas Hisle.

Ms. Layne received her Masters and then her doctorate.  She taught Physics and Computer Science at Byng School.  Later, she was the Director of Federal Programs for Byng School.  She was a farmer and an avid animal lover.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Margaret Helms and husband, Marcus, and daughter, Madison; brother, Jack Hisle and wife, Judy; nieces, Lorna Mullins and husband, Kevin and sons, Mason and Spencer, and Natalie Hisle and sons, Jaxon and Jude.
