Denice Gilliam
Services for Jo Denice Gilliam, 62, of Allen are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David McDougal and Stacy Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Lula Cemetery.
Mrs. Gilliam passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at an Ada hospital. She was born August 13, 1953 in Ada to Eldridge and JoAnn Doolen Roddy. She graduated from Byng High School and East Central University. She received her Master's in Counseling.
She married Clifford Gilliam September 6, 1973. Mrs. Gilliam taught at Sasakwa and later Tupelo High School. She taught high school English and was the counselor for grade school and high school students.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford of the home; a daughter, Misty Ann Young and husband Timothy Alan of Ada; son, Clifford J. Gilliam and wife Felicia Renae of Ada; her grandchildren, Brennan Gilliam Young, Jaxon Young, Savanah Young, Colt Young, Ryleigh Gilliam, Bayleigh Gilliam and Karleigh Gilliam; four brothers, Mike Roddy, Happyland, Tim Roddy, DeSoto, KS, Shawn Roddy, Castle Rock, CO and Kelly Roddy, Austin, TX; and an aunt, Janice Ross and husband Jimmy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Bearers will be her nephews, Shane Roddy, Tyler Roddy, Chad Smith, Jon Roddy, Bryan Roddy, Drew Roddy and Tanner Roddy.
