STONEWALL-Services for J. K. Sanders, 88, of Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 11, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Mr. Wendell Ingram will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mr. Sanders died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at a Norman Veteran's Center. He was born March 14, 1925 in Ada, Oklahoma to Robert Simpson Sanders and Grace Franklin Sanders.
He married Wilma Ruth Wolcott on December 28, 1946 in Ada. Mr. Sanders was a meat market manager for Safeway for 37 years and one year for Homeland Grocery Stores. He was a member of the Church of Christ and had served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Sanders, of the home; two sons, Jack Sanders and wife Connie of Oklahoma City, and Alton Sanders of Stonewall; a brother, Charles Edward Sanders and wife Jane of Ada; one grandson, Scott Sanders and wife April of Union Valley; three great grandchildren, Jade, Matthew and Emery Sanders; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and five sisters.
