Jimmy Cox

Graveside services for Jimmy Dale Cox, 77, of Ada will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2024 at Greenwood Family Cemetery in Fillmore, OK; Rev. Don Jacobs will officiate. The receiving of friends and family will be at Criswell Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Mr. Cox passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the Veterans Center in Sulphur.  He was born February 13, 1947 in Armory, MS to Erbie Dale and Travis Carpenter Cox.

On September 21, 1990, he married Patricia Greenwood.  He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart Medal.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Cox of the home; two daughters, Angie Repult and husband, Bric of Tupelo, MS and Lacy Ramirez; two step-daughters, Kim Buckner of Ada and Teeoti Humphrey and husband, Randy of Ada; five grandchildren, Chance Ramirez, Caleb Ramirez, Brandy Palmer and husband, Kelly, Brandon Lann and wife, Keri, and Gauge Smith; five great grandchildren, Kymber Palmer, Brantley Palmer, Jase Lann, J.R. Lann, and Tripp Lann; and other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bearers are Taylor Lawson, Brad "Ace" Greenwood, Shannon Littlefield, Steve Nail, Gauge Smith, and Randy Humphrey.
