JIMMIE SPENCE
ADA-Services for Jimmie Lee Spence, 74, Ada, are 2:00 P. M. Tuesday at Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rev. Frank Trent will officiate. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Spence died on Saturday, November 7, 2009, at a local hospital. He was born February 5, 1935, at Wilson, Oklahoma to James David and Amey Leona Owens Spence. He attended Ada schools. He was retired as a truck driver, having been employed with Joe Brown Ready Mix as a truck driver and as manager, and later drove cross-country for Miller Truck Lines. He served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He married Wanda Reed in 1954. She preceded him in death in 1961. He married Dovie Davis in 1964.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Spence and wife Hui, Ada; and Scott Spence and wife Denise, Knoxville, TN; two daughters, Sharla Johnson and fiancee Terry Fisher; Ada; and Sheila Blythe and husband Sid, Asher; one sister, Doris Jean McCurdy, Merlin, Oregon; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Bearers are Scott Clinch, Daryl Blythe, Daniel Blythe, Jimmie Tilley, Jeric Poston, Carl Nowlin, Josh Romine and Brandon Meeks.
