Jimmie Ellen Roberson

Services for Jimmie Ellen Roberson, 71, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Father John Norvell will officiate. A Commital Service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore.

Mrs. Roberson passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her home. She was born October 13, 1945 in San Diego, CA to James D. and Helen Christine Seagroves Payne. She attended grade school at Ardmore and graduated from Ardmore High School. She also attended Oklahoma State University. She moved to Ada 40 years ago from Coalgate.

She married Max Sterling Roberson January 10, 1964. Mrs. Roberson was a homemaker, a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, and a member of the Tanti Study Club. Mrs. Roberson was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and she was a member of Oak Hills Country Club.

Survivors include her husband, Max, of the home; two daughters, Stephanie Cowan and husband B.J. of Norman and Ann Keawe and husband Glenn of Norman; her mother, Helen C. Flanagin of Oklahoma City; a brother, Robert Payne and wife Teresa of Durant; two sisters-in-law, Pat Roberson of Tupelo and her family and Sylvia Harrell of Ardmore and her family; and her grandchildren, Jackson, Katie and Tori Cowan; and Alexis and Sadie Keawe.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, P. O. Box 890, Ada, OK 74821.
