JIM PIPKIN

FRANCIS-Services for Willard James "Jim" Pipkin, 68, Francis are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ed Rutherford will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. The Ft. Sill Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Pipkin died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born June 17, 1942 at Seminole, Oklahoma to Arthur Mureal and Gereldeen Smith Pipkin. He attended school at Vanoss and graduated from Vanoss High School. He received an Associate degree from East Los Angeles City College.

He married Dok Ja Shin on May 6, 1977. Mr. Pipkin served in the U. S. Army from October 1960 until February 28, 1981. Later, he was employed with the Pontotoc Technology Center as a custodian and maintenance worker.

Survivors include his wife, Dok Ja Pipkin, of the home; two sons, Willard James Pipkin, Jr., Kansas City, MO, and Glen Pipkin, Moore; two daughters, Donna Huntone, Moore, and Jeanette McBroom, Norman; his father, Arthur Pipkin, Ada; two brothers, Donnie Pipkin, Allen, and Michael Pipkin, Waco, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gereldeen Pipkin on November 19, 1991.

Casket bearers will be members of the Ft. Sill Honor Guard.
