Jim Jennings

Services for Jimmy Lee (Jim) Jennings, 72, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church, Dr. Rusty Fuller and Rev. Richard Bailey will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Choctaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Jennings passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at a Norman hospital. He was born April 7, 1947 at Ada to John L. and Fannie Oneida Guffey Jennings. He graduated from Vanoss High School.

Jim married Shirley Ann Horton December 20, 1965 in Ada. He was the owner/operator of Jennings Trucking Company. Jim was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation and had served in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home; a son, Jimmy Jennings, Jr. and his wife Laurie of Ada; a daughter, Christie Jennings of Ada; three grandchildren, Brady Jennings, Brett Jennings and wife Brianna and Laraby Jennings; and a soon to be great-grandson, Brantley Jennings.

Bearers will be Brady Jennings, Brett Jennings, Junior Grissom, Ernie Sheppard, James Horton and Roy Ross.
