JESSE BERRIE, JR.
FITTSTOWN-Services for Jesse David Berrie, Jr., 74, of Fittstown are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Fittstown Church of Christ, Danny Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery. A Masonic service will be held at the cemetery.
Mr. Berrie died Monday, May 14, 2012 at his home. He was born May 31, 1937 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Jesse David and Alpha Omega Jackson Berrie. He graduated from high school in Burns Flat in 1955.
He married Margrett Ann Winton on October 9, 1960 in Pampa, Texas. Mr. Berrie was the owner and operator of Little Warrior Construction. He had also worked for Pontotoc County District 3. Mr. Berrie was a member of the Fittstown Church of Christ, the Masonic Lodge in Stonewall and had served in the U. S. Army with the 82nd Airborne Division from Ft. Bragg. He served in Panama.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Berrie of the home; two daughters, Paula Berrie and Pam Haines, both of Fittstown; two grandsons, Jesse Lynn Berrie of Fittstown and David Frank Berrie of Arlington, TN; a great granddaughter, Morgan Faith Berrie; and a brother, Bobby Berrie of San Angelo, TX.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Berrie and a sister, Bernell Berrie.
Bearers will be Delton Uhlich, Ikie Caudell, Chance Drawbaugh, Bodie Marion, Mike Gross and Carl Graham. Honorary bearers will be Harold Uhlich, Mann Gross, Don Uhlich, Randall Pogue, Glenn Ray, Hershell Chronister, Stanley Graham and Chris Snell.
