JERRY PARSONS
ADA-The family will gather for a celebration of life at a future date for Jerry Doyle Parsons, 87, Ada.
Mr. Parsons died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at his home. He was born October 21, 1923 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to William Edward and Susie Christy Parsons. He attended Little River & Spaulding schools.
He married Lona Etheredge on February 14, 1942. She preceded him in death on March 17, 1997. They were married 55 years. He later married Maria Cota on March 26, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Parsons worked in construction as a union pipefitter. He served two years in the U. S. Army stationed in Italy and was honorably discharged November 1946. He was a member of the Cottage Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Maria Parsons, of the home; two sons, Jerry Ronald Parsons of Waianae, HI, and Roy Douglas Parsons and his wife Mary of Waianae, HI; two daughters, Janie Peltier and her husband Kealoha of Molokai, HI, and Rhonda Rice and her husband Jim of Ada; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
