JERRY MAYS
ALLEN-Services for Jerry Dewey Mays, 68, Allen, are 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. Tuesday until service time at the Criswell Chapel in Allen.
Mr. Mays died Sunday, August 7, 2011 at an Ada hospital. He was born August 10, 1942 in Greenville, Texas to Curtis Dewey and Frances Mary Cascio Mays. He attended school in Ventura, California.
He married Butchie (Precious) Arleen Faye Wolfe on May 4, 1985. They moved to this area 4 years ago from Waverly, Tennessee. Mr. Mays was a house painter and a drywall installer and had served in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Butchie Mays, of the home; a step-son, Mark Diener, Tennessee; three step-daughters, Meisha Castro, California, Keri Long, Allen, and Juli Diener, Allen; several grandchildren; a sister, Nickie "Sissie" Roland, Grand Prairie, TX; and a brother, Curtis D. Mays, Jr., Red Oak, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, Greg Diener and a brother, Jimmie Wesley Mays.
Bearers are Breakfast Buddies and his brother, Curtis D. Mays Jr.
