Jerry Howard
Memorial services for Jerry Gene Howard, 83, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tony Peak will officiate.
Mr. Howard passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his home. He was born October 19, 1932 in Ada to Samuel B. and Ruby Standridge Howard. He attended Willard Grade School, graduated from Ada High School, attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma State University.
He married Shirley Braddock December 6, 1974 in Ada. Mr. Howard owned and operated Jerry Howard Heating and Air-Conditioning Service until his retirement. After his retirement, Jerry loved to travel and was a private pilot and a former Boy Scout Master. He was a member of Lovelady Baptist Church. Mr. Howard served in the U. S. Army with the 45th Division during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home; three daughters, Wendy Collins, Sugarland, TX, Shelley Stewart, Gordonville, TX and Tyna Kelley of Edmond; a sister, Sammye Collins, Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren, Amanda Sandoval, Ryan Collins, Jerilyn Fixico, Jesse Howard, James Stewart, Joseph Kelley, Jacob Kelley; six great-grandchildren, and his extended family, Tony, Alicia, Kaitlyn, Cody Peak, along with several other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Mark Howard in 1990.
The family says those who wish may make memorials in honor of Amanda and Cristian Sandoval and Joseph Kelly, in the memory of Jerry Gene Howard, to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2212 NW 50th, Ste. 158C, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
