Jerry Folger
A memorial service for Jerry Wayne Folger, 80, of Ada, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Refuge Church; Rev. Quinton Scott and Terry Pearce will officiate.
Jerry passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Born October 15, 1944, in Ada, Oklahoma, Jerry was the son of Garley Folger and Christine Koontz Folger. A proud Marine Corps Reserve, he served his country with honor before returning home to build a life rooted in family and community.
Jerry was the co-owner and operator of Folger's Drive-In, a cherished local establishment that reflected his hardworking spirit and welcoming nature. He earned a bachelor's degree and carried a quiet pride in both his education and service.
On March 17, 1987, Jerry married Wanda McGuire, and together they shared over three decades of love and partnership until her passing on December 2, 2018.
He is survived by two sons, Pat Smith and his wife Paula, and James Smith; a daughter, Glenna Pearce and her husband Terry; grandchildren, Leslie Smith, Ashley Scott and husband Quinton, Ryan Smith, Colton Smith, and Dalton Smith; and great-grandchildren Kinadee Scott and Emmalynn Scott. He also leaves behind nieces Janette VanGundy and Shannon Dykstra, and nephew Tony Folger.
Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Wanda, his parents, and his brother Jim Folger.
