JERRY DUNCAN, SR.
ADA-Services for Jerry Dean Duncan, Sr., 79, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Revs. Jerry Wells and John Haynes will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Duncan died Monday, April 22, 2013 at a local hospital. He was born July 24, 1933 in Texas to Pat and Viola Stamper Duncan. He graduated from Altus High School and attended Draughn's Business School.
He married Donnie J. Thomas on August 15, 1952. He and his wife moved to Ada in 1965 from Ardmore. She preceded him in death on January 1, 2009. Mr. Duncan was a Sales Associate for Pre-Paid Legal Services and a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church in Ada.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Jerry D. Duncan of Ada, and Mike Duncan of Oklahoma City; a brother, Don Duncan of Tulsa; a sister, Carolyn Sink of McKinney, TX; and four grandchildren, Jennifer Rhynes and husband and Garrett of Moore, Josh Duncan of Ada, Denver Duncan and wife Heather of Oklahoma City, and Natalie Duncan of Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Robby Duncan and Scott Duncan.
Bearers will be Glen Griffin, Verdo Hooker, Guy Milner, Bill Gentry and Vernon Robinson, and George McKinnis. Honorary bearers will be Wells Men's Sunday School Class.
