JERRY CACY
ADA-Memorial services for Jerry Don Cacy, 69, Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Kenneth R. Butler will officiate.
Mr. Cacy died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at a local hospital. He was born March 2, 1942 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Rev. Homer Everett Cacy and Gelia Sirmans Cacy. He graduated from McAlester High School in 1960 and East Central University in 1965.
He married Loyleta Butler on March 11, 1963 in McAlester. Mr. Cacy was a Loan Loss Controller at the State National Bank in Heavener, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Heavener and the Heavener Chamber of Commerce where he served as Past President and Board Member. He was a member of the Heavener Kiwanis Club where he served as Past President, board member and was a lifetime member. He was a Sales Representative for A. C. Neilsen Marketing Retail, Champlin Petroleum Company and the former owner and manager of Sonic Drive-In in Heavener. He served in the U. S. Army from 1960 until being honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1966.
Survivors include his wife, Loyleta Cacy, of the home; two daughters, Kellye Griffith and her husband Donald of Ada, and Leah Thurman and husband, LTC (R) Clifford V. Thurman of Lansing, KS; a son, Mica King Cacy and wife Tiffany D. of Tahlequah, OK; seven grandchildren, Kristen Clubb, Curtis Thurman, A. J. Thurman, Cacy Alexandra Thurman, Zachary Cacy, Abigail Cacy and Matthew Cacy; three sisters, Mary McWaters, McAlester, Anna Polk and her husband Clifford, McAlester, and Sue March, Howe, TX; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Homer Everett Cacy, Jr. and Daniel Willis Cacy; and two sisters, Betty Curtis and Frieda Cothran.
Honorary bearers will be Donald Griffith, LTC (R) Clifford V. Thurman, Charles Butler, Norman Butler, Kenneth Butler, and Gayle Frederick.
The family says those who wish may make memorials in memory of Jerry Cacy to the First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 566, Ada, OK 74821.
