JIM HAYS

ADA-Services for Jerrold James "Jim" Hays, 79, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Frank Trent will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Hays died Monday, February 4, 2008 at his home. He was born April 3, 1928 at Highsville, Missouri to Clarence and Maggie Wright Hays. He lived in California and Arkansas before moving to Ada in 1965.

He married Opal Jean Johnson on October 18, 1968 in Ada, Oklahoma. Mr. Hays was a machinist for Boeing Aircraft, and later was employed with Gault Tool Company in Ada retiring with over 20 years of service. He was a member of Sunshine Baptist Church and had served in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanie Hays, of the home; a son, Donald Gaither, Ada; two grandchildren, Justin Gaither and Hunter Gaither; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Delia Schutte, and Juanita Bolin, and a brother, Sterling Hays.

Bearers will be Gary Melton, Jason Johnson, Ernie Hallmark, Josh Bess, Randall Dunigan, and Michael Harbin.
