Jeremy Hendley
Jeremy Charles Hendley passed away on September 2, 2022 at the age of 35. He was born June 27, 1987 in Ada, Oklahoma to Michael and Linda. He was a graduate of Ada High School Class of 2005. He later married his wife, Alma Aracely Hendley in 2010.
He entered East Central University's Legal Studies Program in Ada, Oklahoma with the intention to become an attorney. After two years at ECU, he and his wife moved to Norman, Oklahoma where he continued his education at the University of Oklahoma going on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Administrative Leadership in 2015 and graduating top of his class with Special Distinction, receiving a Convocation Medallion reserved for students who maintained a 4.0 grade-point average and would later go on to be accepted into Harvard Law School.
Jeremy was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, a national honor society restricted to students with integrity and high ethical standards and who are ranked scholastically in the top of their class.
Growing up, Jeremy gained a love for card games and continued his love for gaming after college going on to work for The Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce for 16 years, serving his last years as Table Games Training Manager for the Northern and Central regions.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Alma Aracely Hendley; mother Linda Stone, step father Howard Stone; father Michael Hendley, step mother Kim Hendley; sisters Laura stone, Breanna Stone; brothers Austin stone, Cody Hendley; mother and father in law, Angel and Ana Vaez; sister in law, Karla Vaez; brother in laws, Jason and Tre Vaez; grandmother Joann Morgan; grandfather Bill Hendley; and his beloved dog son, Louis Mountbatten.
He was proceeded in death by his "Papa Stone", Patrick Stone; his "Gramby", Jennie Stone; and his brother Cord Hendley.
Jeremy was a very kind man who made all around him feel welcomed and accepted. Always caring for others, and helping others as much as he could, something he learned from his dear mother and all of those who helped raise him. Jeremy had big dreams and aspirations but at the center of them was his desire to help his family. He was the embodiment of love and kindness, true salt of the earth, and will be forever loved and missed by many.
Services will be Monday, September 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada. Intermit will be at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall. Pallbearers are Howard Stone, Austin Stone, Josh Benson, Kyle Goodnight, Dan Hilgert, Victor Bolen. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Hendley, Bill Hendley, and dog son Louis.
