JEFFREY DORSEY
IRVING, TEXAS-Services for Jeffrey Paul Dorsey, 54, of Irving, Texas, formerly of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church in Ada. A Committal service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Buffalo Cemetery, near Sayre, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Dorsey died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Medical City Dallas hospital. He was born September 10, 1957 at Sayre, Oklahoma to Luther Conway and Rosetta Joy Coffey Dorsey. He graduated from Ada High School in 1975.
Mr. Dorsey was the Vice-President of the union at Evergreen Mills here in Ada, and formerly was a Pharmaceutical Chemical Engineerist with Progressive Laboratories in Irving, TX. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Ada and had been a soccer coach while living in Ada.
Survivors include his wife, Rechelle Dorsey of Irving, TX; two daughters, Kelley Miller, Tishomingo and Casey Dorsey of Oklahoma City; a son, Charles Dorsey of Ada; brother, Greg Dorsey, Houston, TX; a sister, Debbie Stanley, Ft. Worth, TX; an uncle, Kenneth Dorsey, Oklahoma City; three aunts, Linda Grimes, Weatherford, OK, Laura Willis, Oklahoma City, and Earlene Brimer, Erick, OK; a great aunt, Cleta Coffey, Elk City; four grandchildren, Jerrika Bonner, Triston Bonner, Armani Robinson, and Louquinncey Robinson, Jr.; a niece, Natalie Stanley; a nephew, Jason Self; three brothers-in-law; four nieces and nephews-in-law; and many many more nieces, nephews, cousins, "brothers and sisters".
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bearers will be John Young, Jeramy Young, Shawn Young, Cebern Young, Jason Self, and Mark Powell. Honorary bearers will be Marvin Carruthers, Kevin Hardcastle, Brian Logan, Don Matthews, Doug Davis, Thomas Young and Perry Young.
