Jeffery Ames

Jeffery Scott Ames, 58, of Sulphur, OK, passed away on April 4, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on September 19, 1967, in Corona, California, to Arthur Johnny Ames Sr. and Audrey Delores Sutton, Jeff lived a life defined by a deep love of freedom and adventure. He found his greatest joy riding his Harley, feeling the wind on his face and the steady rhythm of the road beneath him. Those who knew him will always remember the way he came alive on his motorcycle, embracing every mile with a sense of peace and exhilaration that reflected his true spirit.

Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Sutton; his father, Arthur Ames Sr.; his stepfather, John Sutton; his brothers, Leonard Hungate and Bryan Hungate; his sister, Eva Bell; and his mother-in-law, Gloria Reed. 

He is survived by his wife, Claudette Ames; his children, Lacey Ames, Jessie and Amanda Fox, and Cody and Cheyenne Roberts; his grandchildren, Hayden, Brandon, Shyann, Aurora, Ryleigh, and Noah; his brothers, Arthur Jr. and Karen Ames and Randy and Heather Ames; and numerous nieces.

A celebration of life will be held at Stratford Freewill Baptist Church, located at 101 Church St., Stratford, OK, 74872 on Saturday April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Officiated by Sam Caton.
