IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Borders

JC MARION BORDERS
September 23, 1948 – August 31, 2025
On August 31, 2025, our beloved husband, father, uncle, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, and friend, JC Marion Borders, passed away at the age of 76.
Marion was born on September 23, 1948, at home in Allen, Oklahoma, to Clara and Winfred Borders. He was the youngest of ten children. From a young age, he liked talking to people and making business deals.
He married Louise Janda on January 7, 1967, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, adventure, hard work, and faith. Family was the heart of his world, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time at the family business, Pick of the Day.
To know Marion was to know hard work, strength, humor, and entrepreneurship. He was the one who always scooped the vanilla bean ice cream and settled down to watch whatever movie we picked.
He was always working. First, out of high school, he was hauling hay, feeding livestock, and trading goods. As a young adult, he worked as a butcher in his own shop. Last, he worked at Pick of the Day for 36 years, and he'll be remembered most for his business-oriented mind and ability to connect with others.
He leaves behind his wife, Louise; son, Jason Borders and wife Tracy; daughter, Trista Borders and Fiancé Jason Reece; two sisters, Gerri O'Brien and husband Dave and Pearl Hammonds; brother, WB Borders and wife Loretta; seven grandchildren, Asher Lawrence and wife Amanda, Daisy Borders and husband Colten, Anna Langley and husband Jack, Ivy Bumgarner and husband Tyler, Lily Freeman and husband Cameron, and Sage and Quince Borders; one great grandchild, Shepherd Langley; and one little Bumgarner due the first week of October. They will carry on his stories, his lessons, and his love. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pauline Noel and Alice Borders; and three brothers, RW Borders, Charlie Borders, and Johnny Borders.
A service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Central Church of Christ in Ada, Oklahoma, at 1:30 PM. Friends and family are welcome to come share stories and memories of the man who meant so much to us.
We'll miss his smile, laugh, soft heart, and wisdom, but we are grateful for the time we had and the love he gave so freely. His legacy will live on in all of us.
