NATCHEZ, MS-Graveside services for Jannet Douglas Cox, 65, of Clinton, MS, former resident of the Allen area is 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Allen Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox died Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Jackson, MS. She was born May 21, 1947 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Clifford L. and M. Alice Wallace Douglas.
Mrs. Cox was a beautician for many years and went back to college at the age of 41. She graduated from Co-Lin in Natchez, received her Bachelor's degree from Mississippi College then received her law degree at Mississippi College School of Law.
Survivors include her parents, Clifford and Alice Douglas of Natchez; one daughter, Barbara Bradley and husband James of Clinton; a son, Clifford Cox and wife Suzanne of Natchez; two sisters, Charon Carrier and husband Mick of Melbourne, FL, and Carolyn Tillman of Natchez; 7 grandchildren, Blaine Misita of Clinton, Madelyn Misita of Clinton, Katie Robinson and husband Ken of Meridian, Chase Bradley of Philadelphia, MS, Ainsley Cox, Jessica Payne and Joseph Blalock, all of Natchez; one great grandchild, Seth Bryant of Meridian; 3 nephews, r. J. Skellie of Orlando, FL, Rob Tillman and Doug Tillman; one niece, Lee Staten and husband Richard of Atlanta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Johnnie Wallace of Allen.
