Janit Cross
Services for Janit Lee Cross, 65, of Wayne, are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.
Mrs. Cross passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at a hospice in Oklahoma City. She was born October 1, 1950 in San Diego, CA to Buck and Jenny Jones.
She married Robert William Cross May 23, 1980 in Ada, and since 1980, she has been a strong military spouse. Mrs. Cross was a Nurses' Aide for Broadway Living Center.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Cross, of the home; two sons, Chuck Hornburger, Stillwater and Tracy Ray Jones and wife Shanna, Lamar, AR; a daughter, Tonya Brown, Ada; step-daughter, Shelby Warr, Littleton, CO; step-son, Jason Cross, Anaheim, CA; her grandchildren, Taylor Ragland and husband Dalton, Pottsville, AR, Tanner Jones, Pottsville, AR, Tristan Jones, Lamar, AR, Rusty(Ty)Hoppe, Ada, OK, Elijah Martin and Ahmad Martin, McAlester, OK,and Savanna Cross, Anaheim, CA; a great-granddaughter, Hadley Ragland; two brothers-in-law, Phillip (Buzzy)and Bonnie Cross and family, Ponca City and Don and Tammy Cross and family of Wayne; two sisters-in-law, Suize and Danny Love and family, Ada and Donna and Chuck Love and family of Ada; and seveal nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Rusty; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Claude Douglas Cross, Sr. and Anna May McKinzie; and a brother-in-law, Claude Douglas Cross, Jr.
The following members of the OKARNG Family will serve as bearers: Andy Jones, Scott Tarrant, Chad Collings, Rocky Anderson, Albert Arias and Matthew "Bubba" Steffee.
