Janice Roberts

Janice Gayle Roberts, 72, of Ada went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Services for Janice will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church; Rev. Duawn Mearns will officiate.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Ardmore at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Janice was born October 1, 1952, in Ardmore, OK to Carl and Oletta Bright McCluskey. She received her bachelor's degree and was a Registered Nurse for 42 years in the Ada area. She worked under Doctors Morgan, Troska, Johnston, and Paddack, and for several home health care companies. She retired from Mercy Hospital.

Janice opened her heart and home as a devoted foster parent to children with special needs, offering them love, stability, and support throughout their journeys. She also warmly welcomed foreign exchange students into her home, embracing different cultures and creating lasting bonds that spanned the globe.

She is survived by her son, Cody Roberts and wife Nicole of Austin; daughter, Kaycee Thompson and husband Jake of Ada; five grandchildren, Bostyn Thompson, Brock Thompson, Tristan Roberts, River Roberts, and Aspen Roberts; and other loving relatives and friends.

Ms. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents. Her sister, Conchieta Hudson left this world just a few hours after Janice. Although in different cities, the sisters passed into heaven together.

Janice was an amazing woman who devoted her life to helping others with unwavering compassion, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and service. The family would like to thank the community for their love and support, sharing so many special stories, and reflecting on cherished moments. May the memories of Janice—Mom and Nene—live on in our hearts.
