ADA-Services for Janette Jayne Black, 70, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2007, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Mark Barnes and John Haynes will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Black died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at her home. She was born January 31, 1937 at Roff, Oklahoma to Felix and Leona Scott Spears. She and her family moved to Ada in the mid 1940's from Roff. She graduated from Ada High School in 1955.
She married Bill Black on July 30, 1955 at Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Black was employed at Evergreen Mills for two years, and later was a UPC Clerk at Wal-Mart, retiring in 1997 after 16 years of service. She was also a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ada.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Black, of the home; three daughters, Kim Barnes and husband Mark, Lexington, Kathy Walker, Ada, and Karen Sigler and husband Scot, Oklahoma City; one brother, Gary Spears, Connecticut; six grandchildren, Melissa Childress, Regina Kraft, Jacob Barnes, Ray Walker, Brad Walker, and Scotty Sigler; and two great grandchildren, Kaden Kraft and Kason Kraft.
Bearers will be Lynn Wood, Anthony Prince, Jay Tuley, and grandsons, Jacob Barnes, Ray Walker, and Brad Walker.
