Jane Muntz

Memorial services for Mary Jane Muntz, 100, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Ada, Rev. Brian Matthews and Dr. Roberto Escamilla will officiate.

Mrs. Muntz passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at her home. She was born February 27, 1919 at Hugo, OK to John L. and Esther Marshall Grove. She graduated from East Central State College in 1940.

She married Howard "Bud" Omohundro October 1, 1942. He preceded her in death December 19, 1959. She later married Dr. E. Russell Muntz December 25, 1962. He preceded her in death February 4, 1992. Mrs. Muntz taught school at Mill Creek, Seminole, Shawnee, Irving School in Ada and Texas schools.

Mrs. Muntz was a longtime, active member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Bruce Omohundro and wife Diane of Ada, Ruth Ann Cross of Altus, Rob Muntz of Ada, Beverly Ford of Hugo and John Muntz, Hugo; her grandchildren, Marshall, Mary and Molly Omohundro; Cameron Cross; Wes, Wade and Shannon Holt; Brandon and Darrin Ford; and Lindy Cronkhite; 13 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Will, Peyton, Allison, Lauren, Jackson, Georgia, Gaines, Poppy, Crew, Samantha, Connor and John.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and a son, Steve Omohundro in 1969.
