ADA-Services for Jamie Dawn Chapman Seals, 34, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Reaper Baptist Church, Elder Charles Miller and Rev. Clifton Broadous will officiate. Burial will follow at Hickory Hill Cemetery. A Wake service will be 7:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Seals died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born March 16, 1976 in Ada, Oklahoma to Jimmy Lee Chapman and Janet Kaye Lyda. She attended Byng schools and worked at Carl's Jr.
She married Steven "Bud" Seals, Sr. on March 16, 1996 in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Seals was a homemaker. She was formerly of affiliated with Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Fittstown and later with Reaper Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Steven "Bud" Seals Sr., of the home; her children, Dominque Chapman, Janet A. Chapman, Steven Seals, Jr. and Alexis Seals; her step-father, Eddie Wright; two sisters, Gina Mouton, Louisiana and Lauren Wright, Ada; her mother-in-law, Mona Ruth Seals, Ada; her aunts, Monnette Lynie Richardson, Ada, Joy Bohanan, Ada, Ramona Chapman, Ada, Lueann Lyda, Ada, Mabel Sellers, and Neeahtha Chapman, Ada; an uncle, Fred Lyda, Pauls Valley; her grandfather, James Harris, Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Kay Lyda Wright, her father, Jimmy Lee Chapman; grandmothers, Dorothy Harris and Laura Lyda; and grandfathers, Wilson Chapman and David Mose Lyda.
Bearers will be Leonard Cooper, Lester Albert, Ron Brown, Bobby Smith, Harvey Gray and Walter Grant, Jr. Honorary bearers will be Jackie Lyda, Michael Sparks, Jr., Michael Rogers, Ronaldo Seals and Jeffrey Seals. Pall bearers serving at Hickory Hill Cemetery will be Stirling Stick, Shawn Stick, Allen Chapman, Kevin Chapman, Buster Greenwood, and Tunka Wright. Flower bearers will be Johnnie M. Moses, Ina Seals, Laura Kaye Lyda, Sandy Seals, Sonya Brown, Summer Stick and Chevita Gardner.
