MCALESTER-Services for Jamie Denise Motes Bishop, 45, McAlester, formerly of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Harold Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bishop died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at a Shawnee hospital. She was born February 25, 1964 at Ada, Oklahoma to Paul Motes Sr. and Willena Fountain Motes. She graduated from Ada High School in 1982 where she was a member of the Cougar High School Band. She attended East Central University for three years and the Kiamichi Vo-Tech where she was the president and vice-president of the Business Professionals of America from 2005 –2006.
She married Bruce Allen Bishop on October 18, 2002 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. Bishop was a cashier for Dollar General Store and a Bingo Caller for the Chickasaw Nation for three years.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce Allen Bishop, of the home; one daughter, Miranda Kaylee Ball, McAlester; her mother, Willena Kay Wiley and husband Ed, Davis, OK; her father, Paul Motes, Sr. and his friend Linda, McAlester; one brother, Paul Franklin Motes, Jr., McAlester; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bearers will be Pat Fountain, Marty Fountain, Jerry Don Hooper, Terry Dale Hooper , Brent Andrews and Robert Webb.
