JAMES MCDANIEL
STILLWATER-Services for James Woodrow McDaniel, 71, of Stillwater, formerly of the Fitzhugh area are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Terrell Rushing will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. McDaniel died Monday, March 19, 2012 at his home. He was born November 1, 1940 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Glenn Woodrow and Treva Lenora Sykes McDaniel. He graduated from Fitzhugh High School, attended Murray State College in Tishomingo and graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
He married Jacki Sue Carpenter on July 31, 1989 in Ada. Mr. McDaniel was a Farmer and Rancher and served two terms in the Oklahoma State Senate from 1976 until 1984. He formerly attended Morris Memorial Baptist Church in Ada, was a member of the Roff Masonic Lodge and had served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Jacki McDaniel, of the home; a son, Keith McDaniel and his wife Susie of Stillwater; a daughter, Lesley Ann McDaniel of Layton, UT: two step-sons, Cory Carpenter of Norman and Zachary Fuchs of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren, Cody McDaniel, Cade McDaniel, Wyatt Knott, Kaylyn Landes and Koye Chipman.
Bearers will be Cory Carpenter, Zachary Fuchs, Cody McDaniel, Chris Wilkins, Roger Cupps and Geoff Mills.
