Eric Owens

Services for James Eric Owens, 31, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Lonnie Manuel will officiate.

Eric passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. He was born September 8, 1986 at Ada to James Malcolm and Deborah Carol Abbott Owens. He graduated from Ada High School and attended East Central University.

Eric was an Inventory Assistant II with Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages.

Survivors include his father, Jay Owens and wife Lori of Ada; his mother, Debbie Forster and husband Keith, Ada; his sister, Jaelynn Fry and husband Zane, Watauga, TX; niece, Violet Fry; nephew, Arlo Fry; two step-brothers, Blake Turney and wife Leah and Trace Turney; a step-sister, Shayla Turney, Ada; his maternal grandparents, James and Janice Abbott, Ada; two uncles, Jamie Abbott and wife Emily, Ada and Lonnie Sims and wife LeAnn, Jenks; two aunts, Deedy Breaux and husband Roger, Houston, TX and Angelia Hardy and husband Jason, Arlington, TX; numerous cousins and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Earl and Euvonne Franks and Lester and Mary Abbott; his paternal grandparents, Carl and Sharon Bardin; paternal great-grandparents, Jimmy and Melvina Éclair; paternal great-grandmother, Miriam Owens; and two cousins, Will and Cody Pendley.

Honorary bearers will be Blake Turney, Trace Turney, Jamie Abbott, Lonnie Sims, Zane Fry, Brad Maynard, Benny Ruiz and Tyler Dempsey.
