JAMES MCDONALD

FITZHUGH-Services for James Lee "Omega" McDonald, 86, Fitzhugh, are 10:00 a.m. Monday at Fitzhugh Baptist Church, Rev. Steve Wilburn officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will perform military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. McDonald died on Friday, June 6, 2008. He was born February 15, 1922, at Fitzhugh to James and Carrie Cantrell McDonald. He attended Blue Mound school. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and moved back to this area in 1946 from California and was a bus driver. He was a longtime member of Fitzhugh Baptist Church.

He married Maria Ramos on July 19, 1959. She preceded him in death on June 23, 2007.

Survivors include three daughters, Janie Workman, Ada; Lydia Glover, Quincy, Calfiornia; and Carrie Harris McDonald, Byng; four sons, Jerald "Butch" McDonald, Sulphur; Jimmy Eichelberger, Sayre, OK; Jaime McDonald, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Johnny McDonald, Byng; a sister, Winona C. Williams, Fitzhugh; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Bearers are Johnny McDonald, Jeral McDonald, Steven McDonald, Jody Browning, Dustin Brecheen and Chris Powers.
