JAMES "J.J." BRAY
ADA-Services for James Duane "J.J." Bray, 68, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Kendall Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Bray died Sunday, May 18, 2014 at a Shawnee hospital. He was born October 15, 1945 in Ada, Oklahoma to James L. and Geneva Davis Bray. He graduated from high school in Delano, California.
He married Karren Reed on March 8, 1966 in Ada. Mr. Bray was a carpenter and also a janitor for the Wrangler Plant, retiring after 20 years of service. He was also a hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Karren Bray, of the home; his parents, James and Geneva Bray of Ada; and two grandsons, Brandon Duane Stith of Coalgate and Tyler Rein Stith of Ardmore.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Michelle Bray Stith on September 30, 1992; his twin brother, Johnny L. Bray on April 28, 1999; and a niece, Sheila Bray on October 26, 2006.
Bearers will be Doyle Reed, Jeremy Guffey, Marlin Guffey, Bryan Reed, Mitch Jarrett and Lewis Jarrett. Honorary bearers will be Brandon Stith and Tyler Stith.
