JIM ABBOTT, JR.
ADA-Services for James Elmore "Jim" Abbott, Jr., 59, Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Jamar officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Abbott died Friday, May 10, 2013, at his home. He was born Nov. 8, 1953, to James Elmore Abbott, Sr. and Gloria Faust Abbott at Ada. He graduated from Webster High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, attended Oklahoma State University and was employed as a custodian for 25 years at East Central University before retiring in September 2012.
Survivors include his father, James Abbott, Sr., and wife Birdie, Ada; his mother, Gloria Faust Greenlee and husband James, Bandera, Texas; a sister, Judy Abbott and husband, Ralph LaRue, Nacogdoches, Texas; a brother, John Abbott and wife Sara, Harlingen, Texas; and one nephew and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barney and Ruby Abbott and Leo and Jewel Faust.
