RICHARD EATON
ADA-Graveside services for James Richard "Hoot" Eaton, 91, of Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Wayne Graves will officiate.
Mr. Eaton died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at a local hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1923, in the Parish Chapel community to William L. and Nellie Frances McDonald Eaton. He attended Parish Chapel and Vanoss Schools.
Mr. Eaton married Ruth Ann Martin, who preceded him in death in July 2000. He later married Diana Sue Robertson Finley Feb. 26, 2008. Mr. Eaton served in the United States Army during World War II and later retired as an electronics engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Eaton, of the home; two daughters, Gwen Murphy and husband Pat of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Melba Bailey of Ada; one son, James Edward Eaton of Lincoln, California; and five grandchildren, Jeff Eaton, Josh Eaton, Shelly Trotter, Ricky Bailey and Johnny McCarroll.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Nellie Eaton; his wife, Ruth Ann Eaton; and two brothers, Roy Eaton and Raymond Eaton.
