James Brent Henry

Services for James Brent Henry, 63, of Ada will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, at Crosspointe Church; Pastor Chad Large will officiate.  Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Brent was called home to his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

He was born August 3, 1962, in Ada to James Morgan and Joyce Yvonne Evans Henry.

On November 30, 1991, he married Mandi Lee Summers.  Brent was a Code Inspector for the Chickasaw Nation.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Mandi, and a proud and loving father to Ryan and Raegan. Nothing brought him more joy than being "Pawpaw" to his treasured grandchildren, Chasen, Collin, Carter, and Hallie. They were the light of his life, and he never missed a chance to make them smile.

Brent loved Sooners football and was an avid outdoorsman and felt most at peace in the woods, with many memories made at the Henry farm. Whether hunting or simply enjoying the quiet, he was right where he belonged.

Brent took pride in working hard and providing for the people he loved. If something was broken, he could fix it. There wasn't much he couldn't do once he put his mind to it.

He will also be remembered for his great sense of humor. Brent could tell a story like no other and had a gift for making anyone laugh. His stories, laughter, and easygoing spirit made every gathering warmer and brighter.

Above all, he loved his family deeply. He lived a simple life rooted in faith, hard work, and love, and he leaves behind a family who will forever carry his lessons, laughter, and steady presence in their hearts.

Survivors include his wife, Mandi, of the home; son, James Ryan Henry and wife, Taylor; daughter, Raegan Hendrix and husband, Keltyn; two brothers, Steve Henry and wife, Julie and Moose Henry and wife, Shelley; sister, Missy Henry; and four grandchildren, Chasen Henry, Collin Henry, Carter Henry, and Hallie Hendrix.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bearers will be Mike Johnson, Jay Johnson, Todd Swearingen, Miles Ehrlich, Scott Rogers, and Noel Summers.  Honorary bearers will be all his CN "Big Dog" buddies.
