Services for James Lovely Dewitt Fox are 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023 at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Fox passed away January 2, 2023 in Ada, OK. He was born February 9, 1941 to Uiva and Clara Stone Fox.

Mr. Fox graduated from Stonewall high school and then served in the US Army from September 63-September 65.  He joined the Ada Police Department as a patrolman in 1969 and retired as Chief of Police in 1989. Mr. Fox earned his degree from ECU in 1977. He married Pamela Milam Jumper on March 24, 1978.

He is survived by four daughters, Kim Fox, of Ada, Kathy Tucker and husband, David of Fairview, Delayna Alexander of Ada, Christa Hefley and husband Jeff of Kearney, Missouri; One son, Chad Jumper and wife, Kendra of Oklahoma City; one brother, Mike Freeman of Ada; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela J. Fox; his parents, Lester and Clara Freeman and Uiva Fox; his in-laws, Ted and Lewanna Milam; daughter, Sheila Stewart, and his grandson, Brennen James Atkeson.
