Dr. James Clark, Jr.
Services for Dr. James Lee Clark, Jr., 60, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Ada, Rev. Larry DeLay of Bixby will officiate. Burial will be at the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
Jim passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX. He was born December 13, 1955 in Oklahoma City to James Lee Clark, Sr. .He attended John Adams Elementary School in Oklahoma City and graduated from Moore High School. He graduated from East Central University in Ada in 1981with a degree in Pre-Med. In 1986, he graduated from the Oklahoma University School of Dentistry.
He has practiced Dentistry for the last 30 years in Ada and he was affiliated with St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
As a Forensic Dentist, Jim assisted in identifying persons after the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City (1995). He volunteered for the OK Mission of Mercy annually, and served on a Dental Mission Trip to Bethel, Alaska and Guatemala.
He was 2nd in Command of Camp Satherd AFB in Bagdad, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and served as a Dentist with the U. S. Air Force and the Oklahoma Air National Guard until his retirement as a Lt. Col.
Jim's happy place was the house boat on Lake Texoma. He enjoyed the annual deer camp with friends and family since he was a teenager, and fancied himself "The Master Deersman".
Survivors include a son; a daughter, Lindsey Clark and her son, Jaeven of Ada; a brother, Rick Clark and his wife Kay of Waukee, IA; an uncle, Charles Clark of Moore; and an aunt, Georgia Fulmer and her family of Edmond; a close friend, Marty Colbert, "The other pocket on his shirt" and his family; and many other relatives and close friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dustin; grandparents, George and Jesse Lee; aunt, Ladawn Driskell; and his father, James Lee Clark, Sr.
Bearers will be, Ronnie Hall, Mike Kelley, Johnathon Benton, Jim Bloomer, Doug Duffy and Steve Martin. Honorary bearer will be Marty Colbert.
